While exploring the idea of furniture designed to easily move and travel with its owners I discovered the style of campaign furniture.

Growing up with an international nomadic lifestyle, I had to give up most of my possessions every time we left a country. As an adult, I have always sought to rediscover those objects from my past. While exploring the idea of furniture designed to easily move and travel with its owners I discovered the style of campaign furniture.

Inspired by the concept of the military-style portable desks used by generals and politicians throughout modern history, I gave the classic campaign desk a modern upgrade with this sleek design. Pushing the boundaries of the way we interact with desks, I designed this desk to work with no handles, creating a smooth face; the drawers can only be opened with the Blackwood “key”. The legs echo the forged iron features found in military design, while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. Command in style and keep your secrets safe in this luxurious modern take on a classic.
